Bleeding after the packing is removed is the most
common complication, but rarely requires anything
more than pinching the nose to provide pressure
until the bleeding has stopped. Occasionally more
packing is placed inside the nose. Infection is
rare. There are some instances when the final appearance
is not up to the patient or surgeons expectations
and may require a secondary revision. This must
be delayed at least six months to a year to allow
for final healing to subside.
